Using A Variation Of Lighting Technology

Technology used or Hand Rail Illumination

Optical Fibre  Power 12 Volt L.E.D.S
Optical Fibre  Power 12 Volt Laser
Optical Fibre  Power 220 Volt Halogen

Electroluminescent Light (EL) Power 12 VoltStatic and moving EL Strips

(LED) Light Emitting Diodes
Individual L.E.D.S, 1 Watt Luxeon

Strip of L.E.D.S Various types L.E.D Studlite

All the above Lighting Technologies can be used to
illuminate Handrails/Barriers for many applications,
Decorative – Directional – Safety – Emergency Exit,
Warning of Danger.

The following are just examples of applications that Frontier is targeting
to launch of the above product.

Optical Fibres in various diameters have been developed with
high performance Side Glow illumination

Fibres Diameter available:
2mm Side Glow

6mm Side Glow

10mm Side Glow

18,8mm Side Glow

Laser-Lite will power up to
300m using 2mm Fibres

200m using 6mm Fibres

100m using 10mm Fibres
L.E.D.S Luxeon
10mm Fibre or 18.8mm Fibre is ideal for short lengths illumination.

10mm Fibre or 18.8mm Fibre is ideal for short lengths illumination.

1m to 2m given a slight bright Glow of light.  From Side Glow emitting Fibre,
each individual Handrail. In 2 m sections requires only 2 watt of
12Volt/24Volt in input

Halogen/Metal-Halide-Light Sources
Although Frontier’s preferred Light Sources are L.E.D.S or Laser
to illuminate Optical Fibre for Handrail illumination.  We can supply
a range of alternative Light Sources for High Bright illumination of our
Fibres, including Metal Halide or Halogen.

Electro luminescent Light
A special El Light strip has been developed, in Static EL Strips
or moving directional EL Strips, for emergency exit applications

Individual 1 Meter
Lengths in various colours can be fitted at 1m lengths in Handrails or up to
20m Moving or Static length of EL Strips for emergency exit.

Note:
A combination of several Lighting Technology can also fitted into
Handrails or Barriers.
I.E.:
Top Rail Fibre Optics (using L.E.D.S), lower Rail fitted with Moving Strips
using EL.  The El Strips only come on in an Emergency situation.
